The Hofburg

A majestic residence of the Habsburg dynasty, The Hofburg is situated near the Maria Theresa Square and is one of the most important palaces in Austria. The palace displays 700 years of architectural history, and nearly every ruler had ordered amendments, thus making it a historical landmark. This palace shows many different architectural styles, from Gothic to Renaissance and Baroque to Rococo.
