Schloss Hof

A trip to Vienna is not complete without a visit to the Schloss Hof, a Baroque-style building that spreads over 16 hectares. One of the most beautiful 17th-century buildings in the world, the palace was restored in 2002 at a cost of more than 30 million Euros. Initially a one-story citadel, the palace was ordered to be transformed as a hunting manor by military commander Prince Eugene of Savoy.

Fun fact

Four rooms on the eastern side of the palace have been dedicated to showcase the life of Prince Eugene of Savoy
