Bascarsija

A vibrant town situated at the heart of old Sarajevo, Bascarsija is always  brimming with activities. You can wander along the cobbled alleys, sit down at a cafe and enjoy a cup of coffee or shop for trinkets at any of the quirky shops that dot the town. Named after the term ‘main market’ in Turkish, this charming town is also the cultural centre of the city and is most popular for its iconic and ornamental Sebilj Fountain.
