Qal'at Al-Bahrain site and museum

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Qal'at Al-Bahrain is located on an artificial hill built over more than 4,000 years of human occupation. A significant archaeological site also known as Bahrain Fort, it features remains from around 2,300 BC to the 16th century BC and traces the Dilmun, Tylos and the Portuguese period. Just across the site is the Qala’at Al-Bahrain Site Museum which exhibits artefacts from five different historical periods in chronological order.
