Mahsuri’s Tomb

This iconic tomb is a mausoleum built in the name of Princess Mahsuri, a woman born over 200 years ago and who is said to have been unjustly punished by death. Legend says that, upon execution, she cursed the land with seven generations of bad luck, with the island's relatively newfound and increasing prosperity a sign that it's survived the curse. The shrine is also home to a museum.
