Istiqlal Mosque

An ancient religious and cultural edifice, Istiqlal Mosque is the largest mosque in Southeast Asia. Built in 1978, it is a centre that attracts hundreds of cultural and religious conferences and symposiums, and provides a place of worship for more than 120,000 worshippers. It has several huge floors, two large domes, a high minaret and a large outdoor courtyard with a lake.
