Built between 1609 and 1616, the Blue Mosque is a must-visit iconic attraction of Istanbul. A feature that sets this mosque apart from the rest is that it has six minarets. The mosque owes its name to the blue tiles of the interior walls and is supported by four pillars and the central dome is flanked by four semi-domes. It’s one of the most popular and recognisable landmarks in the city and a favoured backdrop for memorable photos!
