Possibly Cairo’s most popular non-pharaonic attraction, Cairo Citadel is often also referred to as Salah El-Din Citadel. It resembles a medieval fortress with its high walls, imposing gateways and majestic towers and is considered one of the greatest medieval warfare monuments in the world.
