Jim Thompson House Museum

Home to a vast collection of Asian art pieces that includes Buddhist statues as well as traditional Thai paintings that are made of wood, cloth and paper, the Jim Thompson House is a museum in central Bangkok that is worth a visit. It was the Bangkok home of American businessman Jim H.W Thompson, also known as the ’Thai Silk King’, and today, it gives visitors the opportunity to admire a wide range of Asian antiques and Thai silk. The museum is also home to the ‘Jim Thompson Art Center’, which houses exhibitions, offers educational programmes, produces publications and collaborates with local and international cultural institutions
