Gobustan National Park & Mud Volcanoes

Explore nearby petroglyphs and learn more about the area’s ancient people at Gobustan Museum, a space that showcases ancient human bones and tools used 1,000 years ago during the Mesolithic period. You can also view rock paintings in the open-air museum located on one of the nearby mountains. About 20 minutes away you’ll find Azerbaijan’s famous, active mud volcanoes.
