Abu Abbas al-Mursi Mosque
Several mosques have been constructed and reconstructed on this site, with the current mosque showcasing an octagonal-shaped building, lofty central tower, and an interior embellished with Islamic mosaics and woodwork. The mosque is a central feature in a large midan (square) that’s easily accessible from the nearby corniche.

People consider Al Mursi to be one of Egypt’s four main saints, with his shrine located on the mosque’s main floor.
